Part – time Church Administrator
Salary £5,028 per annum (£9.67p an hour)
Hours 10 hours a week over three days – mornings or afternoons to be negotiated.
Permanent with a 6 month probationary period
Holidays 4 weeks paid holiday per annum
St. Mary’s Church, Ambleside is looking for a part time administrator to work with our friendly church congregation. The principle tasks include answering the phone, booking the church, uploading the Sunday service onto Songpro, updating the website, editing the Parish Magazine and generally preparing rotas and reproducing information that facilitates the smooth running of this busy church family.
As the Administrator is a key first contact with the church the person who takes on this role will need to have excellent communication skills. As a faith-based organisation centred around the church building the post holder should have sympathy with, and an understanding of, the Church of England.
The position requires a warm personality, sound decision making, a proactive approach and discretion. There is a real need to be well organised and to be able to work as part of a team.
